Cycling along the Pennine Bridleway is spit into sections:
Summit to Hurstwood
Hurstwood to Barnoldswick
Barnoldswick to Long Preston
Long Preston to Horton-in-Ribblesdale
Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Garsdale Head
Garsdale Head to Ravenstonedale

Pennine Bridleway Linear Sections

Summit  to Hurstwood (follows a section of the Mary Towneley Loop)

Hurstwood to Barnoldswick

Distance 29km. Grade: Medium

Barnoldswick to Long Preston

Distance 24km. Grade: Medium

Long Preston to Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Distance 37km. Grade: Medium

Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Garsdale Head

Distance 28km. Grade: Medium

Circular Day Routes

Route 1. The Settle Loop

Distance: 16km / Grade: Medium

Steady climbing on the first half then ripping descents follow

Route 2. Feizor, Wharfe and Catrigg Force

Option 1: Distance 12km  Grade Easy

Option2: Distance 20.75km  Grade Medium

A lovely route amongst spectacular views. The climbing is surprisingly gentle.

Route 3. Clapham, Crummack Dale and Feizor

Distance 18.5km. Grade: Medium

A route with a perfect blend of rocky trail and grassy fellside.

Route 4. Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Helwith Bridge and Sulber Nick

Distance 20km. Grade Easy

Half this route is on tarmac and half on pleasant tracks and grassy trails. in addition there is only one major climb leading to spectacular views in a dramatic setting.

Route 5. Ribblehead to Ling Gill and Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Distance: 26km. Grade: Hard

A memorable ride over the wild moorland of Cam Fell following bridleways and Roman roads.

Route 6. Ribblehead to Dentdale, via The Craven Way

Distance: 26km. Grade: Hard

A route not to be missed - once stamina levels and riding skill shave been built up!

Route 7. Cam High Road and The Ribble Way

Distance: 15km. Grade: Medium

Quite a short loop with only moderate climbing. This is on a newly created trail (2011)and the surface is so good it had to go in the book. It makes a perfect beginner's circuit.

Route 8. Arten Gill, Dent Head Viaduct and the Driving Road

Distance: 15km. Grade: Medium

A memorable trail that takes in the best scenery and some of the most spectacular gems of our industrial heritage.

Route 9.  Garsdale to Dentdale, via Dandra Garth

Distance: 20.5km. Grade: Hard

A tough circuit in stunning scenery

Route 10. Lady Anne’s Highway

Short Route: Distance 14km. Grade: Easy
Alternative 1: Distance 18km. Grade: Medium
Alternative 2: Distance: 25km. Grade: Medium
Route Extension: 8.km. Grade: Medium

There are choices galore on this ride making it suitable for any ability level!

Route 11. Ravenstonedale, Pendragon Castle & High Dolphinsty

Distance: 17.5km. Grade: Hard

A superb route with stunning viewpoints in a rarely visited area. Tough climbing and great descents.
