Two Mountain Biking Maps

Map Side 1

Coniston to Little Langdale 13km / 8 miles

This pleasant ride is fairly flat and avoids busy roads. Besides the stunning scenery there are many things to look at including Andy Goldsworthy's sheepfold structure, the picturesque Slater Bridge and spectacular disused slate quarries at Hodge Close.

Coniston to Tarn Hows 11km / 7 miles

Tarn Hows is famously photogenic in its setting of varied woodland and rocky bracken clad fells.

Map Side 2

Coniston to High Nibthwaite 24km / 15 miles

A longer route that follows cycle paths and well graded forest roads, farm tracks and narrow lanes, completely avoiding the main busy roads.

Shorter return (of the above) via the Zigzags 15km / 9.5 miles

Around Coniston Water 24km / 15 miles

A lovely ride with few hilly sections. Unfortunately the main roads can get busy with traffic so the route is best ridden on a quiet day out of holiday season.
